Community Facilities Conversation

Community Facilities Conversation
Welcome to the Community Facilities Conversation. This is your opportunity to help shape the future of our community.

In December of 2015 Maple Ridge Council began the process of identifying and prioritizing the need for community recreation and culture facilities to meet the long term needs of our growing community. Most of these projects were identified in the Parks, Recreation & Culture Master Plan which was endorsed by Council in 2010.

Take a look at the background information to view the reports and meeting recordings that have taken place leading up to the Community Facilities Conversation that will be happening over the next few months.

View an overview of the design concepts for the Community Facilities Conversation here. You can also view each of the five projects in detail below.

Community Engagement is an integral component of this project and will provide citizens with the opportunity to participate in the Community Facilities Conversation. There will be several ways for you to engage in this project. As the community conversation unfolds, your comments and input will be presented to City Council to help them develop the short and long term goals for the future of our Parks, Recreation & Culture facilities. Visit the Community Engagement section to find out how you can engage and provide feedback on this, and other concepts, that are part of the Community Facilities Conversation.

Thank you for taking the time to review this material and help shape the future of our Parks, Recreation & Culture facilities.
