During Fire Prevention Week every year, the fire department hosts an Open House. The public will be able to take a tour, sit in the trucks, learn how to use a fire hose and much more. Firefighters will share their experiences and answer questions about fire safety and fire survival. This is a fun day to meet your local firefighters, join in the activities and, of course, take photos.
Is it time for your smoke alarm to retire? Sparky reminds everyone that smoke alarms need to be replaced every 10 years, and demonstrates how to find out the age of an alarm.
