Hot Summer Nights

On Thursday evenings in July and August, the Maple Ridge Fire Department visits various community neighbourhoods, both pre-announced and random locations, after 6:30 pm.

Most often the public sees fire crews when they are busy at an emergency scene; thus they are unapproachable. This program allows the public to see its Fire Department in a different light and interact with the firefighters.

People will be able to:
  • ask the crew questions; seek advice on summer safety and fire safety in general
  • check out the fire trucks and equipment
  • try some "hands-on" activities
  • have some fun
  • learn something

Important Notice:

Inclement weather (pouring rain) or emergency calls may cause event to be cancelled/rescheduled.

Thank you for all of the requests for neighbourhood visits in 2017.  All of the locations for this summer have now be selected. Check back in the spring of 2018 to request a Hot Summer Nights visit to your neighbourhood next year.
