On November 15, 2014 I was elected to Council on a commitment to make Maple Ridge a safe and affordable place to raise a family. In my campaign, I prioritized bringing more commercial and industrial development to Maple Ridge, addressing homelessness and crime in our community.
I was born and raised in Maple Ridge. My parents moved to Maple Ridge because it was an affordable place to start a family, and I started life in a little brick-faced house right on Dewdney Trunk Road. Maple Ridge was an amazing community to grow up; a safe community rich with parks, sports, and adventure. Growing up I attended Laityview Elementary, Westview Secondary and Thomas Haney Secondary before moving on to University.
