In its third annual survey, BC Business ranked Maple Ridge as the 12th best city for work. This is a significant jump compared to the 2016 survey, where Maple Ridge ranked at 23rd best city for work. The survey measured seven factors that indicate the economic attractiveness of a community and the health of a city’s job market: average household incomes, household incomes for breadwinners under 35 years of age, five-year income growth, five-year population growth, average shelter costs, average house-hold spending on recreation, and the unemployment rate. Maple Ridge is a rapidly growing, family-oriented community which offers a unique combination of the most affordable housing in Metro Vancouver along with high family incomes. It’s no wonder Maple Ridge ranked 12th as BC’s 2017 best city for work and is also a great place to live and play. Check out the article on BCBusiness' December/January issue
