It’s easy to make time to take a First Aid/CPR course. Standard First Aid and CPR takes as little as 14-16 hours, and scheduling is flexible.

The City of Maple Ridge and private providers and organizations like the Canadian Red Cross and St. John Ambulance offer a variety of First Aid and CPR courses.

What's In a First Aid Kit?

You should keep a First Aid Kit in your home, in your vehicle (PDF), and in your Emergency Preparedness Kit (PDF).  First Aid Kits can be purchased from a variety of retailers.

Generally, a First Aid Kit Will Include:

  • Gloves
  • Gauze pads
  • A variety of bandages
  • Antiseptic
  • Scissors
  • Tweezers
  • Needle and thread
  • Instant ice packs
  • Survival blanket, if space allows
