Friday, October 21 | 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM | Memorial Peace Park



Celebrate the Night 2022 is happening October 21 and will include the return of the annual fireworks display at Memorial Peace Park! Participate in activities that celebrate the fall season including Halloween, Diwali, Moon Festival and more. This free fall event features family-friendly activities, food trucks, music and light installations. Come celebrate with us in Maple Ridge...costumes encouraged!

Join the Secret Lantern Society for a workshop on October 15 where you will create lanterns that will be displayed at the big event! Full details below in the "Lantern Workshop" tab.

EVENT DETAILS

Event at a Glance

  • Date | Friday, October 21
  • Time | 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM (Fireworks* at 8:00 PM)
  • Place | Memorial Peace Park (located in the downtown core on 224 Street between Lougheed Highway & Dewdney Trunk Road)

*The fireworks will be accompanied by music that will be broadcast on FM transmitter for local residents surrounding Memorial Peace Park (within 1KM) to enjoy from the comfort of their homes/at a distance. Just tune your radio to 89.3 FM at 8:00 PM!  

Parking

Limited paid parking is available in the underground lot and surface lots behind the ACT Arts Centre. We encourage you to park by 7:00 PM in these lots, as parts will be barricaded closed for safety as we prepare for the fireworks. Limited parking can be found on streets surrounding the event site.  Alternatives include carpooling or taking transit to the event. 

Road Closures

Access to Memorial Peace Park will be blocked from 224 Street for the duration of the event starting at 4:00 PM.
