Ultimately, when efforts at obtaining compliance with City bylaws have failed, Bylaw Compliance Officers must decide whether the contravention of the bylaws requires enforcement of the bylaw by issuance of a ticket. Tickets are issued for both parking violations and municipal bylaw violations.

Municipal Ticket Information Utilization Bylaw (PDF). If you've received a ticket from the City of Maple Ridge, the process to pay is as follows:
- online with Visa, MasterCard or certain debit cards (TD Canada Trust, Bank of Montreal, Scotiabank and RBC Royal Bank)
- in person with cash, Visa, MasterCard, American Express or debit card at the Licences & Bylaws Department or at the Property Tax counter
- over the phone with a Visa, MasterCard or American Express at 604-467-7305 (press 2 for ticket payments)
Disputes
To dispute a ticket, you must complete a
Ticket Dispute Form (PDF), available online or at the Licences & Bylaws Department front counter. Once the form is completed and submitted to the Licences & Bylaws Department, your dispute will be reviewed and staff will phone you to advise you of the decision.
