The City of Maple Ridge plans to replace the sanitary sewer on Royal Crescent between 225 Street and 226 Street and on 225 Street between North Avenue and Haney Bypass. The existing sanitary sewers are undersized for the ongoing development in the Town Centre.
In addition, The City plans to replace the storm sewer on Dewdney Trunk Road between 238B Street and 240 Street. The existing storm sewer is nearing the end of its service life.
Project Description
The project will:
- Increase sanitary sewer capacity to accommodate population growth in the Town Centre
- Replace storm sewers that are nearing the end of their service life
- Increase storm sewer capacity in accordance with the Official Community Plan
ISL Engineering and Land Services Ltd. has been retained to design the project. Sandpiper Contracting LLP has been retained to construct the project. Construction is anticipated to begin in the summer of 2023 and complete in the winter.
