Looking for ways to contribute and make a positive impact on your community? The City is looking for motivated and enthusiastic volunteers to become members of the Advisory Committees and Commission of Council for 2022.
The City has a number of Advisory Committees and Commissions that provide opportunities for Maple Ridge residents and business owners to participate in local government and have a meaningful impact. Committee members help guide the discussion and debate on important policies and programs for our City. Having a range of viewpoints on Advisory Committees is important and we encourage applications from those in the youth, senior, and business communities. We are now welcoming applications for the following committees/commissions:
- Community Heritage Commission - Seeking 2 member at Large Positions
- Agricultural Advisory Committee - Seeking 4 Member at Large Positions (youth, senior or business communities)
- Environmental Advisory Committee - Seeking 3 Member at Large Positions (expertise in environmental matters)
- Economic Development Advisory Committee - Seeking 3 Member at large Positions (expertise in growing the local economy)
- Transportation Advisory Committee - Seeking 5 Member at Large Positions (expertise in community transportation matters)
- Parks, Recreation & Culture Advisory Committee - Seeking 2 Member at Large Positions (youth, senior or business communities)
- Public Art Steering Committee - Seeking 1 Artist Position (artist with some professional experience and training in the visual arts)
