On Wednesday, February 22, 2017 Ridge-Meadows RCMP members participated in a number of anti-bullying #pinkshirtday activities. We believe that it is important for police to send positive messages around empowerment and leadership and as a result committed to attending several local schools.
RCMP members handed out chocolates to students, talked about the topic of bullying, engaged with leadership groups in high schools as well as donned pink stripes on their uniform and on the push bar of our police vehicles. Our efforts were to raise the profile of anti-bullying and to broadcast strong leadership messaging.
