Maple Ridge, BC: On Friday, March 27, Mayor Morden, reached out to the Downtown Maple Ridge Business Improvement Association (DMRBIA) and Ridge Meadows Chamber of Commerce to encourage both organizations to collaborate on ways to connect citizens with local businesses who are offering essential services during COVID-19.
“Council members saw a great list circulating last week from the DMRBIA for downtown restaurants that are still open and providing either take-out or curbside pick up. We all recognized that a citywide resource would be a valuable tool for our citizens. On behalf of Council I would like to thank Ineke Boekhorst of the DMRBIA and Flori Chaykowski of the Chamber of Commerce for championing this ongoing work,” said Mayor Morden. “This is a difficult time for our business community and this initiative connects citizens of both Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows with essential goods and services available locally.”
