There is a common myth that innovations are created by lonely geniuses who come up with brilliant inventions all on their own. In reality, innovations are created by sharing and learning, challenging and verifying, testing and trying and by crossing boundaries together.
To that end, we know there are a lot of innovators in our community and we want to challenge them to see how they can effect positive change in our city.
The challenge is looking for ideas to improve services for Maple Ridge residents and develop operating methods in keeping with our Council’s Strategic Plan. Special attention will be paid to proposals that put customers and residents first − as the recipients of better services or even as cooperative partners in development work. The competition also aims at making the continuous innovative development work carried out in Maple Ridge visible.
Courtesy of our amazing sponsors at Telus and the Chamber of Commerce serving Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows we will award the first, second and third place finishers with a prize of $3000, $2000, or $1000, respectively.
