How has the Maple Ridge Leisure Centre (MRLC) changed to help mitigate the spread of COVID-19?

New practices and procedures were created to ensure the safety of our patrons, community and staff. Some of the measures include:

  • Implementing traffic flow and one way passages to ensure physical distancing and limiting patron cross over.
  • Minimizing high touch points and gathering places (change rooms, lockers, etc.)
  • Reducing the number of patrons allowed in the MRLC at one time.

In addition to the measures taken above, there is increased COVID-19 related signage in the facility to ensure that all Leisure Centre users are informed on signs, symptoms and risks of using the facility during the COVID-19 pandemic.
