  2. River of Light: Lantern-Making Workshop

    City of Maple Ridge - Artist in Residence Studio

    Join City of Maple Ridge Artist in Residence Robi Smith for a fun and relaxing afternoon of lantern making. Learn how to make a lantern out of simple materials chicken wire, tissue paper, and white glue. The finished lanterns will form a large lantern installation along the Alouette River by Davidson’s Pool over two evenings: August 24 and 25. All workshops are offered free of charge and are drop-in. Come for an hour or join in multiple days. Feel free to bring friends and family members (note: children need to bring an adult along to help with the tricky bits).
