How You Can Prepare

What's Your Emergency Plan?

Whether it is floods, fires, or influenza, emergencies can happen anytime, anywhere. It’s not always possible to avoid these emergencies, but, you can be prepared. Your own personal preparedness can go a long way in assisting you in managing the emergency and recovery afterward.

Be equipped to support yourself and your family for a minimum of 3 days after an emergency. Having an emergency plan and an Emergency Kit will help you manage until emergency responders can reach you and allows them to focus their efforts on those in immediate danger. You can also keep up-to-date with The City of Maple Ridge’s Notify Me alert management system, as well a list of alert notification links.

TIPS

When disaster hits, there won't be time to collect emergency supplies. Ensure you have emergency kits for your home, office and vehicle.
