Please note that Canada Post and the Canadian Union of Postal Workers have been in contract negotiations since late 2015 and a legal strike or lockout could happen effective July 2, 2016. A labour disruption will have an impact on the City of Maple Ridge and citizens. Tax payments that are postmarked before July 4 will not be subject to penalties, however any payment postmarked after this date will be subject to penalties. Maple Ridge has a secure dropbox location where payments can be placed 24 hours a day located near the Economic Development office located near the east entrance to City Hall. Mailing your payment at this point may result in your envelope sitting in the mailbox or a postal facility unprocessed until after the labour dispute is settled. This could result in penalties.
