  1. Dog Friendly Maple Ridge Pilot Program

    March 30, 2021 - April 30, 2021 @ Maple Ridge - various locations

Dog owners in Maple Ridge will soon be able to visit select shops and patios with their furry friend in tow as part of a just-launched pilot project. Dog Friendly Maple Ridge (DFMR) provides every local business the opportunity to welcome dogs and their owners through new admittance options and special events. The program is a joint venture between the City, the Downtown Maple Ridge BIA and the Chamber of Commerce Serving Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows. Business owners can opt into the pilot project and decide how to implement it in their retail space. DFMR will also allow participating food or beverage operators to host dogs and their owners on outdoor patios, in accordance with provincial food safety regulations.

  2. Sharing Joy: Maple Ridge Pitt Meadows Art Studio Tour Exhibition

    April 17, 2021, 11:00 AM - June 26, 2021, 4:00 PM @ The ACT Art Gallery

For over 20 years, the Maple Ridge Pitt Meadows Art Studio Tour has welcomed more than 1,500 visitors annually into dozens of open artist studios across the region, showcasing a wealth of artistic success. This season, in a ‘pandemic pivot’, The ACT opened its doors to allow patrons to continue connect with Art Studio Tour artists. The Art Studio Tour artists translated the theme, ‘Sharing Joy’, through the language of their art, in the hopes of sharing their joy with the community. ‘Sharing Joy’ hopes to remind patrons that art brings joy not only to the beholder, but also to the artists. This artistic connection often invokes perceptions and memories, inspires action, or makes a place or activity more enjoyable.
