Personalized Support Services
The City of Maple Ridge, Parks, Recreation & Culture offers may adaptive and integrated recreation services for all ages to promote a safe and fun recreational environment.
Leisure Access for Individuals
This program is available to our customers who require 1:1 support when participating in activities at the Maple Ridge Leisure Centre. Customers pay the admission fee associated with their activity while the person supporting our customer does not pay. This service is:- Valid for one year from the time of issue
- Non transferable
- Available to Maple Ridge Residents
- Cancelled if misused
Leisure Access for Agencies
This program is available to agencies assisting individuals who require support. Customers pay the admission fee associated with their activity; the agency staff supporting our customer is not charged an admission fee.To apply for Leisure Access for Agencies program, managers are required to complete the application form and to submit the completed form(s) to the customer service desk at the Maple Ridge Leisure Centre or to email registration@mapleridge.ca.
Please allow 10 business days for processing applications.
Please Note: If your agency is interested in the Leisure Access Agency agreement, please email Petra Frederick for a copy of the subsidized Maple Ridge Leisure Centre admission and support services MOU.
Funded Support Worker
In partnership with Ministry of Children, Family Development and Supported Childcare, funding is available for children and youth that meet eligibility requirements.To apply for a Support Worker in our seasonal day camps or after school program (Active Kids Club), or to confirm eligibility, please view the Request for Support Worker Form call Petra Frederick at 604 467 7355 or email.
External Support Workers - Children & Youth Programs
If your child or youth requires additional support from an External Support Worker, please complete the External Support Worker Information Package and approval process. Your child's/youth's External Support Worker, after approval, will be able to attend the program at no extra cost.Be sure to allow yourself adequate time to complete and submit all required forms and documents prior to your program/service start date (approval can take up to four weeks).
