About Maple Ridge RCMP
The RCMP is contracted by the City as a policing service and serves the city of Maple Ridge and Provincial lands including Golden Ears Park and Pitt Lake. Policing is provided to our citizens through local resources including first responders, serious crime investigators, traffic members, civilian staff and volunteers. We also rely on our contracted partners to provide additional specialized services – E- COMM (9-1-1) who provides emergency call services, non emergent reports to police and after hours contact for our citizens and five Integrated Team partners – Emergency Response Team, Police Dog Service, Collision Analysis, Homicide Investigation team and Forensic Identification.
Behind the scenes of the detachment and less visible to our citizens are civilian staff who are responsible for providing support to policing operations. Often, they are the front line contact for most customer related needs, and their roles range from crime analysis to training, from managing the fleet to guarding cells, crime prevention to records management and more!
