Municipal Elections

The local government election will take place on Saturday, October 15, 2022.
The citizens of Maple Ridge elected one mayor, six councillors and five school trustees (for School District No. 42). Maple Ridge holds elections in accordance with the Local Government Act, the Community Charter and the School Act.

     - Tuesday, August 23 at 6:30 pm Fraser Room, Maple Ridge Public Library 2nd floor
  • Nomination Period 

    - August 30 to September 9
  • Nominations Close

     - Friday, September 9 at 4:00 pm
  • Declaration of Candidates

     - Friday, September 9 at 4:00 pm in the Council Chamber (City Hall)
  • Deadline for Challenge of Nominations

     - Tuesday, September 13 at 4:00 pm
  • Deadline for Withdrawal of Candidates

     - Friday, September 16 at 4:00 pm
  • Declaration of Election by Voting

     – Monday, September 19 at 4:00 pm in the Council Chamber (City Hall)
  • Advance Voting Days

     - October 1, 5, 8, 11, 12 and 13
  • General Voting Day

     – Saturday, October 15 from 8:00 am - 8:00 pm 
  • Declaration of Official Election Results

     – Wednesday, October 19 at 4:00 pm
  • Inaugural Council Meeting

     - Tuesday, November 1
